Riyadh – Mubasher: Methanol Chemicals Company (Chemanol) announced the results of its ordinary general meeting (OGM) held on 6 August 2026, where shareholders approved the external auditor’s report for 2025.

The auditor's report was passed with a 94.30% majority, while 3.40% of votes were against and 2.30% abstained.

The assembly also approved the appointment of Al Bassam & Co. as the company’s external auditor. The firm will be responsible for reviewing and auditing the financial statements for the full fiscal year 2026 and the first quarter (Q1) of 2027.

The total fees for these services are set at SAR 700,000, excluding value-added tax. The appointment received 88.60% support, compared to 2.80% for the alternative candidate, with 8.60% abstaining.

The meeting was held as a second session after the first meeting failed to reach a legal quorum with only 22.80% attendance. The second session was valid with an attendance rate representing 25.80% of the company's capital.

During the session, shareholders also reviewed and discussed the board of directors' report and the financial statements for 2025.
